Titus Young is writing own ticket out of Detroit

Heading into the last season, the Detroit Lions had high hopes for Titus Young to step in as a dynamic compliment to Calvin Johnson. Instead, Young revealed the immaturity that the Lions took a flyer on in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

It all started for Young when he sucker punched teammate Louis Delmas last off-season. He was later sent home for intentionally lining up in a teammates spot versus the Green Bay Packers in week 11. The final straw landed him on Injured Reserve for reasons unknown after his attitude didn't change with coach Jim Schwartz.

Now Young has taken his antics to Twitter.

In an act of defiance via Twitter, Young set out to defend his actions in the Green Bay loss, and state that he has not desire to return to football if he isn't thrown the football more often.

Martin Mayhew and Jim Schwartz left the door open to a possible return to Detroit at their end of the season interview, but something between then and now has set Young off. It looks like his door in Detroit is beginning to close, as with his dreams in the NFL.
