Report: Pistons set to trade Prince, Daye

     A source today said Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye are involved in a three team deal that could get done as soon as tonight. 

      The three team deal would include the Toronto Raptors and the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis star Rudy Gay would be dealt to the Raptors and point guard Jose Calderon, whose 10.5 million would expire at the end of the season, to Detroit.

      The Raptors will receive Prince, Daye and 2010 first round draft pick Ed Davis.

      According to a Pistons sources via Yahoo Sports, the deal is pending the leagues approval. 

      Prince has played his entire 11-year career with the Pistons, since being drafted in the first round in 2002 out of Kentucky. He was a valuable member of the Pistons 6 straight Eastern Conference Final appearences and their 2004 championship team. The past three seasons, trade speculations have mounted on Prince, He's been a fixture in the starting lineup, averaging 11.7 points and 4.6 rebounds on 45 percent shooting this season.

      Daye has been inconsistent in his three and a half year career in Detroit. He was drafted with the 15th pick in 2009, to become the eventual replacement for Prince. Daye never fulfilled his potential in Detroit averaging 5.8 points per game, 2.9 rebounds and shooting 35.8% from downtown. This season he was averaging 5.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in sixteen minutes this.

       Calderon averages 11.1 points and 7.4 assists for the Raptors and has one of the top free throw percentages in the game, at 90%. The 6'3 Point Guard is 31 years old and will hit free agency after the season.

      With these contracts coming off the books, Calderon, Will Bynum, Jason Maxiell and Corey Maggette, the Pistons are projected to have $35 million in cap space for free agency and trades.
